Galxy J3 2017 No swipe Right or Left

Galaxy J3 1027..

I have the J3 2016 version but on my friend brand new J3 2017 version there is no swipe right to get to annother screen, After many tries it seem it is swipe down for some reason.. Can this be changed to swipe right and swipe left?

Sorry for the poor explanation... On the J3 2016.. apart from the icons on the front screen, if I swipe right I then have another screen with more app icons, etc.

All my other Galaxy phones always had swipe right and swipe left to get to the other app icons The J3 2017 only seems to have swipe down for some reason and I am not sure if it is a bug or can be changed to swipe right and swipe left

Got ya. I use Nova Launcher and can create all the screens I need.
I'm trying to limit myself to one.
You can stack apps in one folder with Nova Launcher.
