Game data saved when wiping device?

Hi, my Nexus 9 has been kinda slow recently so I've wanted to perform a factory reset. The only problem with that is I don't want to lose my Boom Beach game saves. When I open it, it connects to Google Play Games, but is that all I need to be sure I won't lose any data?

I am doing so - to keep all the progress in the games, which have been established with legally play-Market
