Game Engine that suits our game android project

First of all, this is my first post in this Android forum.

I'm currently new to Android and we're the first batch in our university to

have a major course in mobile programming that uses Android OS

(last batch was symbian).

Well, in the first two months, we started some basics stuffs like spinners,

textviews, listviews, using database, etc...

Since me and my groupmates decided to make an android game for our

capstone project (another course) for this school year, we would like to know

what game engine is best for our project... We were about to make a 2d side-

scrolling hack and slash rpg game which is similar with games such as maple

story, ILLUSIA, wonderking(MMORPG PC game)...

Any game engine you can suggest?

it looks like dungeons and dragon... that is too much for us... lol

Unfortunately not mate - I'm not that clued up.

Developers definitely use this forum though, so hopefully someone can help you

I'm using Unity, but for that type of game, maybe Corona? Ansca Mobile's cross-platform mobile app development tool
