Gameboid not playing GB Color games

I have both TigerGBA and Gameboid and I can not get pokemon silver or crystal to work. I have tried 3 different roms of each game i have tried renaming them to .gba i have tried downloading the gameboy color bios nothing works does anyone know a fix.
 
That doesn't make sense if a gameboy advance can play color games then why can't a advance emulator play them too. seems like someone making 1 thing into 2 emulators to make more money. i bought gbcoid and its made by the same person seems fishy
 
On a related note, does anyone know if there is a Gameboy original emulator as opposed to the Gameboy Advance emulator?

I'm pretty sure the GB Advanced incorporates the processing unit from a GB Color in addition to the its own processor, meaning that the GBA doesn't emulate a GBC. So you need two different programs to emulate GBA and GBC games. The developer of these emulators does not rip people off and offers a lite version of every emulator he has developed. You can always email him for more information.
