Games for group play?

I was wondering if there is a list or something of games compatible with group play. I tried searching the web, but didn't find anything.

I'm wishing that words with friend will be something like this. Group game would be fantastic and a lot of bragging.

Settlers of Catan is awesome for a group on tablets. (It was originally a card/board game.)
