Help Games on Galaxy S2?

Hello,
I have heard that Galaxy S2 doesn't run any game .apk..
Is that really true?

I have heard about games of type HD, does this type work on s2?
What about Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Tab and other Samsung Galaxy devices?
Does any .apk game work on Galaxy S2?

Let me help you clarify a few things:
.apk (short for android package) is a file extension for Android application, in a similar fashion to .exe file on Windows. Developers will package their applications into apk files so that you can easily install them on your phone without using Android Market. As such, there is no such thing called .apk games. Apk files contain apps, which are not limited to just games. Therefore, you can install apk files on any Android phones, including the galaxy S2.
HD games only means that those games are designed for high resolution screens, so they are not really a type of games. You can rest assured that the Galaxy S2 can run almost everything on the market now, even those latest games or so-called HD games you want.

But I am really sad!!
Because of one thing, there are a lot of games on iPhone that are not on Android!!

I wanted to ask about another thing, can I play .Jar files (Java games) that I used to play on my old Samsung GT Mobile, can I play them on Galaxy s2?

Apple App store is the biggest, so no doubt some are not available on Android. At least a the major titles are always available on Android.
With regards to java games, I am not really sure, but I believe that you can still play some games, but there are limitations, so you should do a quick google search around.

If you can't find a specific game on Google Play Shop you could try visiting the games developers web site to see if it's available there.

For Java games you will need a JAVA MIDP emulator.
Java Emulator for Android ? Java game emulator

Lastly, this forum is for the original Galaxy S not the S2 so you should locate the correct forum and post there.
