Gboard Saves Preferences?

Hi folks. I deleted Gboard a month or so ago, then a week or so later I decided I wanted it back so I re-installed it. Expecting to have to re-input all my settings, I was very surprised to see the app had remembered everything..themes, number row, the lot. Is this normal as my wife's doesn't seem to do this and she has to manually input all her preferences again if she uninstalls then re-installs. Many thanks in advance.

If you just used the 'Uninstall' button your previous settings will probably be left as is on your phone. Next time try tapping on 'Clear data' first, then 'Uninstall'.

Hi. We did that. Cleared the data and cache and after doing this the app is back to factory default settings, but once you uninstall and re-install the app, it puts all my personal settings/preferences back.
