So i just bought a Pixel 3 and I love my old Samsung Gear 2 Watch. Previously i had it on my Galaxy S6. Upon disconnecting from my S6 and hooking up to my Pixel 3 the Samsung "Galaxy Wearable" app will not detect it. My Pixel 3 has no problem connecting to the watch but for some reason their own app wont see their own watch.
Ive scoured Google, their FAQs and even talked with their support line but as expected no help there. The one thing i did find interesting is that they said that the watch was compatible with the Pixel 2... which has basically the same hardware for bluetooth and has the same OS so in my mind, im not sure why its not recognizing.
I dont want to buy a new watch when this one functions fine...well i think it should be able to...are there any custom apps to control samsung watches? I tried installing older versions of the app and no go there either. Any feedback besides suck it up and buy a new watch greatly appreciated!
