General Android Q's

I have been considering a new phone since my 3rd iPhone suffered it's demise and is no longer under warranty (1st Apple update bricked, 2nd stopped functioning, 3rd touch screen has gone wonky). So I have a choice to buy a new iPhone (or refurb) or go Android.

Also I have been generally unhappy with AT&T, mostly with the dropped calls. Ugh the dropped calls! So I may vernture back to Verizon.

So far I have been impressed by the Android that my co-workers have. Seems very response, seems very snappy, seems pretty polished. I do have a couple questions:

Is there a way to get a home screen of the droid to list out the next coming calendar items? I miss this feature from the BB and WiMo sets.

Same with e-mails.

I suspect you're looking for a "today theme" type of feature. Android has what is termed "Widgets". There is a calendar widget that shows whatever you tell it to show, and same for the messages. You can choose to have it on your home screen, or one of the other screens.

Ummm, yeah there is a widget for just about everything.

My Android phone (Sprint HTC Hero) is pretty freaking handy.
