Geo tagging photos

Anyone found a good use for geo tagging pics? It's a cool idea, but I haven't found a good use for it...and it seems to cause a lot of privacy issues?

If you're on the internet, why is everyone so uptight about privacy now? If you want to be completely private, stay off line.

It's not really about complete privacy as much as putting your self in harms way.

Has anyone found a good use for geo tagging? Then why does it exist?

I haven't found a use for it...I could care less about it. I keep my self out of harms way by carrying a side arm . Best defense is a good offense.

I've used it sometimes to remind me of where my holiday pictures where taken. Normally I leave geo-tagging off, especially when taking pictures near home.
