Why are get voice and quite a few other options not working on my Lenovo a2010-a? Is there a workaround for this?

What do you mean by "not working"?
How are you invoking these options?
If you have the following task in your Tasker, invoke it from inside Tasker, .... what does it do>

A1: Get Voice [ Title:Speak Language Model:Free Form Language: Maximum Results:16 Timeout (Seconds):16 ]
A2: Flash [ Text:%VOICE Long:On ]

There are too many possible interpretations as to what you are experiencing.
My GUESS on the most common is that you previously had Run in Foreground off and have for some reason turned it on. If Tasker is not in the foreground then the tasks will not execute if this option is on.

Sorry for not being specific enough. Tasker tells me "sorry that option is unavailable on this device". Device is a Rooted Lenovo A2010.
It has been a long time since I have had a device that is root-ed. With the modern releases of Android I can't see the point. Take total responsibility for all the software on the device with the understanding that it might not work?
For your question ... the only thing I can think of that MIGHT work is ... create the project/profile/tsk on a device that is not rooted, use Tasker App Factory to create a standalone kid, and run the kid on your rooted device.
