Help Getting an alert in my notification tray about Chrome sync, says incorrect passphrase

Today I started getting this alert in my notification tray for Chrome sync. I type in my Google password and it says "incorrect passphrase."

I only get this when I am on the chrome browser.

Did a quick search and apparently a lot of people have this issue on their Android phones.

Any way to remove this since it is annoying?

Thanks

Well, a few places:

settings / google (under accounts), tap your google account, then uncheck "Chrome". Or, in the Chrome browser, tap the menu control top right, then settings. Your account should be at the top - tap it. Turn off sync there.

thank you.

i will uncheck sync.

I'm not sure if those will help - but they should. (I'd be disappointed if Chrome didn't sync for me - I use that feature a lot, from using synced bookmarks to opening pages that are open in other machines.)

if i don't use chrome on my desktop then i guess it won't matter if it syncs or not right?

what about going to:

settings
apps
chrome
"uncheck" notifications

that would be another option right?
