Hi there im wanting to get apps, which app do i go to, to download new apps. Also how do i delete apps. Im needing help cause iv brought a samsung anycall galaxy s off my friend

Hi and welcome to Android Forums!

To search for and install new apps or updates, go to your app drawer and press the Play icon (colorful arrow thing). That is the Google store, where you can search for a great amount of content.

NOTE: There is a default setting to automatically add app icons to your homescreens somewhere. I advise you remove that setting and set your screens up the way YOU want them. In Play, go to menu (three dots, upper right), Settings and UNCHECK "Auto-add widgets".

There are 2 ways to uninstall an app: In Play, go to menu (three dots in the upper right) and "My Apps". You can scroll down to the unwanted app and select "uninstall" from there. To simply remove the app from the homescreen but keep the app itself, just long press the app icon on the screen and move it to the little trash can or red X or whatever.

The other way is to go to Settings --> Apps --> and scroll down to the app you wish to uninstall. Select it and press "uninstall".

I encourage you to go ahead and join us, and then spend some time in the appropriate Galaxy S forum. We are here to help you master your device!

Hope this helps. It's great to have you here :)
