So I just wanted to make a post about how I managed to get my contacts out of a LG G3 that had no screen.
Yesterday my G3 touchscreen stopped working. Not all together but some areas just didn't work. As I was planning to get a new phone anyways I opened it up to see if the digitizer cable was messed up or what and maybe fix it. After opening it up and messing with it, it still didn't work so what the hell lets see whats inside a screen. After breaking the screen in pieces I went to get a new phone later to realize most of my contacts were on the phone still and not synced to my google account.
After a couple of hours researching how to get contacts out of a phone with no screen I came to the conclusion that non of the recovery softwares worked for shit. Some only had the option for a select few phones. Some didn't connect. Some needed to be purchased to be able to get the information that I needed.
Although I was still able to connect my phone to my pc with a usb cable and get pictures and other media off of it. The contact database is stored in some secret folder that I cant view normally.
So I remembered a couple of years ago I had another old LG phone that installed LG Suite when you plugged it in via usb. After installing that it took me 15 seconds to find a sync contacts option and successfully got all my contacts back.
If you are in a similar situation I encourage you to try your phones manufacturers pc manager software to recover lost contacts.
