Help getting last mail received notification every now and then

Hi,

My samsung galaxy s3 is acting wierd...!!!
I configured my office mail to my phone. I got all the mails in one go...

And then my phone has started acting funny....
Now every time I get a new mail, I dont get any notification (even though the relevant mail alert settings are done)
And after every half an hour, I get the last mail received's notification(which is already read).

Please suggest...!!!

I get this too. I am almost positive it is from switching in and out of wifi areas. That's when it happens to me sometimes. Or when I have wifi on and then restart my phone the first thing that pops up is my last email received.

I'm noticing the same thing (i think). I'm a recent convert to Android, coming to the S3 after being an iPhone user since 2008.

I have a corporate exchange account, 1 yahoo account, and 2 gmail accounts configured on my S3.

I'm a bit disappointing that the new email notifications dont wake up the screen and show the sender and subject as well as a 2 line preview on the lockscreen much like it does on the iphone after iOS 5.

also, why is is that my primary gmail account (the one I used to set up the s3) uses the native Gmail client, but my second email account (one I share with my wife) can not be configured to use the native Gmail client.

While we are on the topic of email clients, why is it the default Samsung one SOO inferior to the Gmail client. The native email client frankly SUCKS. I'm desperately looking for a better solution as I do A LOT of corporate email from my mobile device.
