getting my calendar to my new phone

i got a newer to me phone and in my calendar i do not see my items from my old phone. i put google calendar on mypc and i do not see all the items people say to sync them. it tried to send the data form the old lg to the new lg and all i got was the calendar with no data. plus how do you get the calendar to pin to the quick start bar at the bottom of the screen on the pc.
 
If you are using Google Calendar once you sign into your google account it should sync across all of your android devices. As for pinning the calendar to your quick start bar on a LG phone.... I do not know.

it did not sync and i have it turned on. what i need is the calendar icon on the task bar on my pc in the chrome browser but it will not go there. i had it there one time and i took it away and now i can't get it back.

but on my phone the old phone show my calendar with all my dates on it and the new phone all it has is the holidays. and for the name they both have the same email address in them. every setting is the same so i have no clue now how to get them to be the same i have all the accounts the same on both phones.

in the accounts and sync all items are the same as well. when i go into the google account all the settings are equal also.and it says the calendar was synced the same day but they are not the same. thanks
 
so i went into both phones and created an event and so far nothing is transfering to either phone. i even tapped refresh and watched it said sync complete. but did not transfer to either phone. so it looks like i may have to just create a new calendar.
 
When you created a calendar on the phone, it may have created a phone only calendar. There is a section on the calendar event creation screen to choose a calendar. If it says My Events or something that is not your Google Address, then it's only on phone and not syncing.
 
ok so i deleted the google calendar and it will not let me delete the calendar that came with the phone. so now i do not see anything in the setting for a calendar. and the calendar that comes with the phone in settings has all permissions turned on and data use in the background is on and unlimited is off. i may turn them both off to save data but the data now is 0 for a 3 selection total background foreground. notifications is off and not opening by default.

this calendar is on both phones and the pld phone has the same data as the old phone's googl calendar has.

so what will be the first step being everything is now 0. thanks
 
ok this is what just happened. to save time i deleted the google calendar this morning and then just now i figured it would be easier to just enter the dates i needed. and it put them into the old phones calendar. but then i had some future dates on the old calendar so i found them and went into the new phone calendar and they are now there. so maybe i had to enter some items. yesterday i did enter some fake things and it did not do anything but today it did..

now i'm using the calendar that comes with the phone but the things i have entered are a realight blue and i cant see them well. maybe that is why i did not see anything in the calendar yesterday. so can anyone tell me how to change the colors i do not see this in the settings. of will i have to put goggles calendar back n? thanks
 
If it's the same default calendar app as on my G6 then when you open the event you should see a little artist's palette icon when you can change the color.

ok thanks a ton for that it was there and i did not have a clue what it was. see what i know. i guess i should have recognized that icon. now i have them red but will look for another color if this one fails me. again thanks for that help

i then found the default color setting in the calendar name. hit the button and found the default colors and changed it so now i think the entries will be a darker color and i will have to change them if i want during entry. thanks for the help
