Getting "Network Error" message when trying to open Market

bebaios

Newbie
Every time I try to open Market, a popup says "Network Error" -- retry or cancel. If I click cancel and try again 1-2 times, it does open.

Can I do something to fix this? Any idea what's going on?

I kept getting the same error message this morning, and that just started happening today..I'm clueless as to why this keeps happening

If you have the bars and no 3g signal (the 3g with the orange and green arrows) next to it the market wont work. You have appeared to have lost connectivity and need to either wait for it to come back, turn wifi on and off, turn airplane mode on and off, or use fresh network pro as I do. I've added screenshots to show the phone without the the 3g and how the market doesn't work and then a screenshot with the 3g back and the market working. Good luck hope that this helps.

That explains it well - thanks.
I'm not in a 4G area, but I wonder - does clicking the 4G button enhance my service in any way?

Your welcome...

Turning on 4G when you don't have it wont do anything except drain your battery looking for a signal that doesn't exist if its not in your area.
