Getting new OTA update??

I've read that OTA updates are sent "randomly" - but in reality as far as computers go there is no
such thing as completely random. So how does this work on Nexus 1? For example do google go by IMEI nos?

I ask cause I have a UK phone since a week after the handset release and haven't seen any OTA updates so far.

I had read on different forums that others (maybe only those in the US) received a couple minor updates sent to their phone already - apparently for "calendar updates" - did people get these and is there a reason I didn't?

i did not get those updates, and im pretty sure it was only the ones who had the phone prior to nexus release that got those updates
