Getting rid of the software update notification.

Hi there
How do i get rid of the software update notification for my s8? I wont ever update as I've found it's slowed down my devices but the notification is very annoying!

If it's an OTA firmware update pushed by Samsung, you may not be able to avoid it and the phone can be forced to run the update by itself. That's what happened during the Galaxy Note7 debacle, to neuter the battery charging. And others have reported their Samsung phones apparently force updated as well.
