every single droid I've had with Verizon. Same thing again with the S7.

I get the phone and I get 5.5 hours of screen time. YAY!
update comes and now I get 4
another update and I get 3.5
this last update I just did and now I'm getting 2.5-3 tops.

updates are supposed to make the phone BETTER.

I've tried wiping cache, haven't done the full reset yet but I guess that's coming. ( i did do a full reset after the 2nd update)

this morning phone has been off the charger since 7. 3 hours and I'm already at 75%. 30 minutes of screen time. (so that would be 2 hours of screen on time)

all the sudden android system shows 35%, and email (which i haven't even used yet) shows 17%

rant over.

Could the email be syncing in the background to your server ?

I'm in the Uk and prefer to buy my phones sim free.

This is because....

The phone then has no pre installed Network Bloatware.

In the Uk the Networks tend to hold back firmware updates for their branded phones to test it and add / remove aspects of it so it does not clash with their network systems. This can delay the owner in receiving the update.

Unbranded handsets get untouched firmware updates and typically faster.
