Getting Started with Android Applications Help

Hello,

I am new to Android Application Development. I have a little bit of experience in Basic/Visual Basic programming. I understand Android Applications use java coding. I am looking for someone to post a quick reply as to what programs I will need and just a brief summary on how to set it up and so on, all help is much appreciated.

I think I must be over looking it? I've searched the forums for App Developer and I dont see it? Only thing I can find is Android Applications.
