Getting too security conscious w/ my android yesterday ... ha ha ha

my nexus is telling me too many pattern attempts and wants me to log in which it was not accepting this morning. unable to change password on laptop and know it's time to use one of my ten lives i.e. back up verification codes i got yesterday but i can not access in settings 2 authentication process ...extraterestial technology WOW !!! ??? !!! :eek: google support seems to be out of the picture. google customer service did give me a 4 digit number and PUK # but i have no idea how these are supposed to help ! my android has my hole directory on it (i'm in the process of moving and cannot find my address book) and is my long distance provider. i'm getting cabin fever and sure hope one of y'all can help.
 
Hello and welcome aboard. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully the below steps will help.

If you are talking about a screen lock password, then after a fixed number of incorrect entries your device should prompt you for the password for the gmail account the phone is registered to. If that doesn't work, shut off the device, log into the gmail account on a website and change the password using Google's Password Recovery.

Once the new password is confirmed, turn on the device and try using the new password. The above does rely on you having either 3G or WIFI enabled on your device, and if it's not, the only other solution would be a full factory reset!
