Any way to grab an image of an install, preferably for an HTC Eris, but I'll take what I can get, and ghost it out to a phone? I'm really tired of having to set up my phone every time I restore it and I'm about to head over to XDA developers and get somebody to do a cooked ROM for me...
Figured I'd ask around first and see if such a thing even exists yet. I just want to make an image and then be able to ghost it to my phone if I an app stops working. Currently I'm having issues with the radio stack and fixing them requires a reboot in airplane mode. Near as I can tell the phone gets stuck looking for 3g, even when it's got full bars, and drops wireless connectivity every ten seconds or so and constantly looks for 3g. Which drains the battery and constantly switches the IP. Means a lot of reloading web pages and google talk, among other apps. To fix it I reboot with airplane mode on, turn airplane off, connect mobile and dial *228 (verizon) to update my roaming. That seems to work but after the reboot my swype install shits a brick and i'm stuck flashing the phone again to get it to reinstall. Anybody have any suggestions on any of these issues or if such software exists to clone a non-cooked factory install? I just want my apps to not go away and my settings to stay the same...
