How come my messaging app won't let me send gifs?

But it may just be that the developer didn't consider this important for what they thought a "meeting app" (whatever that is) would be used for.

I believe the Samsung messaging App never allowed .gifs of any size to function. I found this out not long ago.

If the stock Samsung messaging app you're using can't send animated gifs in MMS, try another one, like maybe Handcent or something. FWIW, I know the stock Oppo messaging can.

i think i know what he is saying as i have the same issue. when using note 4 and note 7 i was able to use the (google keyboard) GBoards options to search and find gifs when sending text messages from the GBoard App. example, hit the GIF button at the bottom type in WOW and get an animated gif of wow....If i install the GBoard keyboard app now, it does not allow you to do it with the S8+
