Sure, the right-wing has its liars and frauds, what about all the left-wing ones? Hrm?

They can go, too: I'd much prefer to have debates about reality rather people simply pointing out other people's fairy tales :D

Have to say, though that in the US, the right wing is way worse than the left.

Basically, the US right has been taken over by a ranting minority who have realised they rouse more support with lies and distortions than with could with reasoned, fact-based argument. It's no coincidence the GOP is seen outside the US as the party of the willfully ignorant. Margaret Thatcher was pretty clear about her support for - and strong ties with - the GOP, back in her day: last time around, even her party was praying for an Obama win (though they couldn't say so, of course).

There are sensible, thoughtful - even compassionate - people on the right, but they've been ousted, silenced or forced into conformity by the extremists who are driving their cause into political obscurity and irrelevance.

Look at Mitt Romney: in theory, he should have been a great candidate: he was a moderate conservative with a decent record who ought to have been able to win support in blue states in possibly the most win-able election for the GOP since Reagan faced Carter. Sadly for the GOP (but happily for the world ;)), the raving right forced Romney to reinvent himself as an extremist in their image to win the nomination and consequently, he was annihilated in the election.
 
regarding the OP, yay!!! now only companies who can afford multi million dollar PR campaigns can afford to lie to the public everyday

not to play favorites with country of origin, but arent you in the isles?

dont believe the story you get fed through the media. both parties are exactly the same, run by multinational corporations and nothing more.

the popular story getting fed by the media is the liberals love the poor and gay rights, and conservatives only care about big business.

both those stories are silly little scraps fed to people so they can tell the difference between red and blue, but if you are going to get real about
it, they are both run by companies and dont give a crap about the people.

The ones I know don't. They justify it. "Everyone else does it", "They do it for the greater good", and "it's in our best interest" are a few of these justifications. But then, I am, according to some, some paranoid nutcase (and a right-winger, left-winger, communist, anarchist, socialist, and other terms all at once). So... Who knows about me :p
