There seem to be quite a few questions about this around the web. I suggest that you remove the battery for at least a minute. Put it back in and reboot. (Just rebooting is supposed to work but seems not to all the time). There are a few who have failed completely to get out of safe mode even by factory resets and attribute the problem to a hardware fault. (In which case take it back where you got it)
If you still have problems I suggest you register on the forums and repost your question in the Galaxy S3 forum where I am sure they will try to help.
