Is there some way to manage which apps are able to show badge counts, and which cannot? I would LOVE to stop my FB app from showing me the number of notifications I have waiting for me, but I don't want to sacrifice my Messaging app notifications.
I tried going back to an older version of FB (which didn't always have that stupid red circle) but it's not gone - maybe I didn't go back far enough?
In case it matters, I'm using a rooted Verizon Galaxy S3, and would be more than willing to install any legacy version of FB just to get rid of that red badge (and presumable to stop FB from updating every three minutes to adjust the number shown therein.)
