Gmail and Label notifications sounds

I noticed Gmail got rid of label notifications. Where you can have different sounds for each label.

I did a search on Google and it seems they got rid of it for some reason.

So is there a 3rd party app that I can install on my phone that is compatible with Gmail and I am able to get different notifications sounds for each label?

Gmail label notifications work fine. Use daily no issues.

You probably using an older version of Gmail. I don't have it anymore even when I update the app.

I am now having the same issue as you mentioned above. Upgraded my phone 2 Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus and I'm currently on Android 9 and I'm sure that I've updated Gmail a few times since the previous post. And now separate sound notifications for different labels does not work. And it did used to work for me. Wish we could find a solution.
