gmail app / bluetooth app question

- How often does gmail on the droid update itself without me pushing refresh? does it have to be actively running for it to refresh (if it even does)....

- bluetooth on/off by curvefish : yes it turns ot on and off, but i still have to go into settings to get it to connect ( turn bluetooth on, turn bluetooth power on on phone but it will not connect on its own ) any work around?

As for the bluetooth question, if you turn you phone on first then your BT device you should get connected (provided you have already paired the devices).
