Gmail app not syncing with website?

Hey all,

Starting yesterday something weird has been happening. For some reason when I try to forward a message I get stuck with "sending" on my phone and it never sends. I went on my tablet and tried forwarding from there and it worked fine and even showed as sent on my phone with the first forwarding attempt still attempting to send itself.

I've been deleting e-mails from my phone and when I go to gmail.com they show up there as unread. Yet, if I just read the e-mail on my phone they show up as read online too.

I can't figure out what the problem is here. The only anomaly that happened was my dropping my phone when some bitch passed by and brushed her shoulder accidentally on my phone (I'm normally a docile guy, but when you drop my phone I change completely). I'm pretty sure that a single drop would not cause a malfunction in just my gmail app since everything else is working normally.

Any tips or suggestions? Maybe other people having/had similar issues?

Thanks, guys!

IMO try this -

go to Settings--->Apps---->Gmail---->Clear Cache, Clear Data. then resync Gmail.

if that doesn't work i would do a hard reset/factory reset of the phone and start fresh.

i find the stuck in "Sending" bug happens if you try sending an Email from the TRASH. it still actually sends - but it appears to be stuck - even if it's not. Clear Cache/Data usually fixes the appearance anyway. if it really isn't sending than i would do the steps above.

good luck.

I was afraid of a hard reset being necessary. If it gets worse I'll do that but for now I'll just live with it. Thanks!
