Has anyone else had a problem when viewing an email in the gmail app and your screen times out or you click a link and the browser or another app opens when you go back to gmail and that message it is no longer in the spot that you left off but back to the top of the message? Is there a setting I am missing somewhere to have it remember your spot? Also I find that if I have over 400 messages I can not see the rest until I have removed some of the messages that I can see. Is there a way to see the rest of the messages either by going to another page or by increasing the number of messages on the first page? I am using a motorola droid running android 2.1. Both of these issues are with the gmail app. Any ideas?

gmail app remembering spot in message

This annoys the heck out of me and I too am looking for an option, setting or app that will make this behave like every other device on the face of the earth. Not sure why they opted to have it return to the top but it's beyond annoying.
