gmail doesn't p/u emails

Have to hit refresh...barely ever tellls me when I get a new email

Is there anything I can do?

Perhaps adjust the freq for how often it scans for new emails?

Open My Accounts and touch your email address then turn on the sync options by placing a check in the box on right.

If you can not find the app My Accounts, menu > Settings > Accounts and Sync and turn on the sync option.

Both of my Android devices have been doing the same for months now. It is driving me nuts. There was another thread about this a while back that said going into my apps-gmail-delete cache would fix it, but it only works for a few hours and then stops working again. I have virtually stopped using my gmail recently as work will no longer allow me to have my email routed through gmail, but the problem still exists.

I would love it if there was an actual solution.

Settings > Accounts and sync: Make sure that Background data and Auto-sync are checked
Next, under "Manage accounts" press on your gmail address and then check Sync Gmail.
