New subscriber and my maiden post ... here's hoping someone can help with this issue:
I recently got a Droid Eris and the guy at Verizon synced my gmail account with the phone at the store. I took it home and started playing around -- didn't know there was a difference between the "Mail" application and the Gmail application. So, I double-synced my gmail account with IMAP. Figured out how to delete the account from IMAP without too much trouble. BUT -- the IMAP sync changed the names of the default folders in my gmail account, as accessed from my home PC, (they are normally, Drafts, Sent, Trash). They are now labeled "[Imap]/Drafts", etc. I want them to revert back to the original default names! I disabled IMAP in my gmail account settings, but to no avail. This is a mostly cosmetic problem, I realize, but I'm totally anal about stuff like that. Any advice, please!?
EDIT: I figured it out. I feel pretty dumb for overlooking it, but Gmail had duplicated those folders, with the duplicates labeled as [Imap]/xx. I just deleted the duplicates. Sorry!
