I've searched the Nexus 7 apps and can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

I'm looking for an App that would allow me to edit my Gmail messages that I send, much like Gmail using my Firefox browser. I want to be able to change the font, text size, text color, highlight, bold, etc. Much like the one used for this posting. Is there anything out there??

Why not just open Gmail in a browser on your Nexus 7 rather than using an app? That way you get exactly the same features you are used to in Firefox (or any other browser) when using Google's webmail site.

Personally I find the minimalist approach to the Gmail app very refreshing; I wish something similar was available on other platforms rather than having to use webmail or some bloated generic email client.

Well, that would be because I just didn't think of opening the browser, then Gmail. Seems like a simple solution though and I'll try that later on today.

Now will that get them 'confused' by opening the browser and/or using the App? Should I close/logout of the App before opening the browser version?

Most times I like the simple Gmail App too. Just read and respond without any gimmicks.

No confusion, you can have as many instances of Gmail (app or web) open on as many devices as you like and they all stay in sync since the data lives in the cloud
