Gmail notification???

I started noticing this morning I would get a notification which appears to be from gmail.

All it says "couldn't sign in to my Hotmail address"

There is no e-mail. I clear the notification. It reappears 5-10 minutes later.

Very strange.

Has this happened to anyone?

The notification is that your hotmail sign in failed, even though it looks and sounds like you've got mail. Better check your settings for hotmail, or check with hotmail if they've changed something.

Aww ok. So that part isn't unusual for Android devices?

How do I clear it so that it doesn't keep notifying me all day long?

It depends on your sync settings for that account. If you sync every 15 minutes then you'll get a notification every 15 minutes until you fix the login credentials/settings or you delete the account. You can set that account to never sync and it will stop the notifications, but you won't get your hotmail either (which might not be a problem since you're not getting it now.)
