Help Gmail notifications stopped working

I have auto sync on, I get the sound when I receive a Gmail, but the @ symbol no longer shows up in the notification bar??

It was working fine yesterday until I turned off the contacts and calender updates, but now after turning them back it still no @ symbol.

Tried rebooting, taking out battery, etc.

Any ideas?

i would suggest getting MyBackUpPro and doing a full backup of your phone,doing a wipe and then it should work
