Gmail Notifications w/ No New Mail

Hey there!

Does anyone else have this issue?

Every time I log into gmail on the computer my phone beeps and shows that I have new mail, but there isn't actually any new mail. It's a minor thing, but it's kind of annoying because if I don't clear the notification it won't beep again when I actually do receive a new message.

Is there any way to get it to stop sending a notification just because I log into gmail on the computer?

I would suggest clearing data from the app. Or unistalled|reinstall the application.
