Gmail notifications

Hi

When there is one new email, the notification shows the subject and sender of the new email but once there are more than one email, it doesn't.

I saw several other notification apps that does that but apparently Gmail has blocked this from working. Does Google has any plans for this in the (very) near future or what? Are there working (free) notifications that can show the subject/sender as well, or maybe convince Gmail app itself to do so?

There are more problems with the notification of Gmail. Everytime I delete an email in gmail site, I get a notification regarding the rest of the unread emails I still have there, I don't remember this happening previously. I asked Gmail to sync Gmail and to notify me (once) of new emails but it seems it took too seriousbly

Am I missing something?
I'm using 2.3.6 (samsung galaxy mini I)
Thanks

I guess I'm the only one with this problem?
Any other forums I can use to maybe get any kind of reply?

Thanks

I have the galaxy s3...in the gmail settings there is an option asking if you want to be notified once for email but not every new message.

mine isnt clicked and i get every email notification.

I get a notification for every email but the problem is it does notify me more than once even though notify once is checked.

If I have 3 emails that I was notified about and delete one of them, I get a new notification that I have 2 new emails. I delete the email from gmail site itself so it's stupid to be notified about it...

Good answer glsec507.

Good thing they have that option. All I care is to know if I have new email or not. Don't want to be distracted by every single one (the important people in my life know how to get hold of me if they need to). Just a matter of preferences, I guess.

I'm sorry but I didn't understand how it answers my questions and if you encounter the same problem as I wrote about
