Gmail Question

Hello

I used the gmail app before on my BB, and everything worked fine. If I read something on my phone, it instantly showed up as read on my computer. Also When I sent something from my BB it showed up on my computer as responded too.

Now on my Epic, using the gmail app it is...well awful. They never seem to sync, I can replay and when I check my computer an hour later it still says unread and that I never responded. Also from my phone when I try to send something, it says sending for the longest time, on my BB the messages where instant

Please help

For what it's worth, K9 mail is my mailer of choice. It seems to Sync accurately and, when I recently ran it through some tests, was able to confirm email read or deleted on K9 would indeed to marked as much on both GMail and Outlook.

Whilst it's still got a few issues there and here (name one app that doesn't), I do find it works a treat 99.99% of the time.

I have to agree with Rachel_Ambler on using K-9. Right now it's about as good as it gets for Android. And yes, it's rather astonishing that Gmail doesn't work better on Android. I mean, really, Google?

Don't expect to get the BlackBerry email experience on Android any time soon. For all it's perceived and real shortcomings, BlackBerry is still The King when it comes to email and messaging. Trust me, I know...I came to Android from a Bold 9700.
