Gmail sync issue

I'm using Samsung galaxy note 9 device and during the last couple of weeks it seems the Gmail is updated only when I open the app. I have Gmail "Sync Gmail" on and "Auto sync" Accounts on

I fail to get the reason

Any ideas?

Shlomi

Hey, this might help you:

Step 1: Update the Gmail app

Step 2: Restart the device

Step 3: Check the settings

1. Check if you are online
2. Turn off airplane mode
3. Check Gmail sync settings
4. Check your phone or tablet settings

Step 4: Clean up storage space
If your phone or tablet doesn't have enough storage, you won't be able to use sync properly.

Step 5: Check your password
Open Gmail on your computer. If you're unable to sign in or encounter any of the errors below, you won't be able to use sync in the Gmail app.

Step 6: Clear your Gmail information
Warning: Following these steps may erase your mail drafts, signatures, ring tones, and other settings. It is recommended that you perform the following steps only if the above steps do not resolve the issue.
1. Open your device's Settings app to set up your app.
2. Tap Apps & notifications to apply the information.
3. Tap Gmail and then save storage.
4. Tap Clear Data and then OK.
5. Restart the device.
