Help GMail sync slow or none at all....UGH

I am at the end of my rope with this phone!

From someone that came from using a blackberry for 11years to come over to this phone I am going nuts trying to understand somethings. If the LOS issues does not drive you up the wall the 5-10 min wait time for an email to come thru the Gmail app will. I could have sworn it was a push email and supposed to be instant.

I am no noob to android my wife had the Evo 4g, Evo 3d, and currently has the Motorola Photon. I did the Syndicate LOS fix and I am happy for that I appreciate it. But, if someone can give me a permanent fix for this gmail slow sync issue I will be happy as a tornado in a trailer park.

I do have the check for sync gmail in accounts and sync on am I missing something? If I hit the refresh button then everything comes in just fine. Also I do have a cache cleaner program cleaning the cache every 4hours so it is not that. I have hard reset the phone and I have done a data restore using my MSL code from terminal emulator.

Any suggestions?

I don't have the answer but I am watcing this too. I came from a BB 9630 and I have also notice how slow the 4g touch is w/email. I tried using the installed social hub but that just delays the message even more.

Had a similar problem to you when I had power save mode to turn on when the battery is lower than 10% or 30%. I had the turn sync accounts off for when the battery gets low. So i charge my phone overnight and when I got up i was getting emails through my old hero on airplane mode over wifi but not the ET4G. I hit refresh and it worked. Here the power save mode unchecked the sync box for the accounts. It leaves the background data box checked but unchecks the sync accounts and it never reverts itself when it's out of power saving mode.

Not sure if this would help. Just making people aware. I would think that it's internet related since I haven't had a problem otherwise.

I believe that if you have power saving mode on and its set to disable autosync even after you charge your battery the auto sync remains off and you need to manually check it again. I think this is a terrible flaw but I am just pointing out what I have experienced.
