Gmote for the Cliq

Hello everyone.
This is my first time here so i hope i am in the right spot. I was wondering if anyone can help me out with the gmote installation. I do not have the internet at home just at work. I am able to connect threw my ethernet connect at work. I can also connect through my phone. I had downloaded the software onto my computer and phone. I power the gmote on my phone and it can't find the server. I followed the gmote faq and did what they said and i am not able to make a connection. What am i doing wrong? Do i need to be connected to the internet to have this work? I am somewhat computer savy but not the best. Any help would be great. Thanks for youe time.............

You need to be connected to the same network your computer is on.
So you need to be connected to the router through wifi on your phone.

However if you look into the instructions proper thhere is a way you can get it to work without wifi.

but if you say you're not computer savvy, then lets not try it
