i tried this per gmusics instructions:
First, check your troubleshooter for failed uploads:
1. Right-click the Music Manager icon in your system tray at the bottom
right of your screen (Windows), menu bar in the upper right corner (Mac)
or notifications area (Linux)
2. Select 'Run troubleshooter'
Make sure the missing songs are of valid file type. The following file
types are supported:
mp3, aac/.m4a, wma*, FLAC, ogg
Please note that FLAC and ogg files will be transcoded to 320kbps mp3, and
FLAC files that are 24-bit and/or mono aren't currently supported. ogg
files are only supported when using the Linux version of the Music
Manager.
*wma files are only supported by the Windows version of the Music Manager.
You can also view a full list of supported and unsupported file types at
Supported filetypes - Music Help
If your songs are of valid file type, the following may explain the issue
you are experiencing:
If you deleted any songs in your library during the upload process, the
song count in the music player on your computer will reflect the actual
number of songs added, while the Music Manager's song count will display
the number of songs in your library when it was originally scanned.
That said, we're aware of the following issues and working on a fix:
- The Music Manager finds and appears to upload all songs without issue,
but some songs still don't appear in your library
- Temporary music files with the 'T' attribute aren't detected by the
Music Manager troubleshooter at all, so there is no indication that these
unsupported filetypes haven't been added.
If you're not encountering either of these issues, you can force the Music
Manager to reattempt to add any problematic songs by pointing the Music
Manager at a different location to add music from, clicking 'Apply', then
pointing the Music Manager back at your original music location. This will
cause the Music Manager to rescan and add any music that isn't currently
in your Music Beta library.
We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve the above issues.
