Go Contacts EX Dialer disappears during call

If I dial from the Go Contacts Ex, I get the dial pad with the big red end call button.

However, if I go to any other screen, I can't get back to that active keypad. If I go to the dialer in native app or Go (same one) and select keypad, the hang up button isn't there (it looks like it would be before dialling with a number pad and a call button.) but the call is still connected. There is no way to hang up!

What do I do?!?

pull down the notification bar. Its there. There never was a way for going back to the call screen from the dialer app.
