Go Launcher icon placement

I use Go Launcher and I have my status bar hidden. I want to move a set of icons to the top of my screen, but when I grab it, the trashcan appears at the top and prevents me from dragging my icon up without deleting it.

Does anyone have any ideas for how to utilize the top of my screen?

The first row it's fairly tall. Just drag close, it won't go in trash unless it's red.

Yah, as long as the trash can doesnt go red, you should be fine.
It will pop into place.

But you can't get it all the way to the top of the screen because of when you unhide the status bar. It is the closest you can get though.
