Go Launcher, Nothing happens making shortcut icon

I am trying to put a shortcut on my home page via "Go Launcher". Unfortunately, when I press the screen and get the go launcher menu, then press "Shortcuts" nothing at all happens. The "shortcut" button flashes when I touch it, then nothing. I have added shortcuts to opera, dolphin and browser. Still nothing happens. I have uninstalled go launcher and reinstalled. Same deal. Is it not seeing shortcuts in the browser? If not, how do I set go launcher to see my browser shortcuts? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. I have searched the net on this but am probably using the wrong terms since nothing came up.

What phone do you have? You could have a low memory issue where the shortcut menu is closing due to lack of memory. Try going to your home screen, press menu, preferences, advanced settings, check prevent force close, reboot. Try to add the shortcut again. To get a browser bookmark you would press shortcut then bookmark and you should be able to select your bookmark. You could open the browser, go to your bookmarks and long press on the one you want on your home screen and see if you have a choice to add shortcut to home.
