Go SMS Pro New Msg Waiting Alert (While Phone Is Asleep)?

Is there anyway to tell Go SMS Pro to signal an alert when a new message comes in? Is my only option to keep waking the phone up? My old HTC/Windows phone would either beep or flash a light to indicate that a new SMS message had come in. Something like that would be nice.
