Go SMS Pro Notifications

Hey there, I recently installed GO SMS Pro on to my phone, and am just testing it out. I have a little gripe with it am hoping someone can help me with? I've disabled notifications from the stock SMS, so I'm not getting duplicate notifications, however, on my homescreen when the phone is locked, it says I have so many unread messages, even though I've read them from GO SMS. The only way I can clear them is if I then open the default SMS app. Is there anyway for them to clear once I've read the message through GO SMS?

IMO GO SMS doesn't update your carrier that the SMS was read and this is why they still appear as unread in your default SMS program. Have you tried contacting the GO SMS developers?

@Harel, it doesn't have to notify the carrier, it just has to notify android. And it's a little glitchy atm.

Notifications are why I stopped using GO SMS. They never get then right.
