Help Go SMS Pro

Just finished setting up my new toy. Sent a few texts out no problem.

All of a sudden Go is showing the same message sent twice, but users on the other end only getting one.

How do I get rid of the duplicate on my end?

Hangouts is disabled.

I'm stumped. Please help!!

I went and deleted all the GO SMS associated files from my phone and then reinstalled just GO SMS Pro, and the text show just once for a few times and then revert to showing 2 texts sent, but users only getting one.

GO SMS says its added support for Kit Kat, but I'm wondering if there is a bug?

I'm at a loss.

I'm using that now. I kinda prefer Go SMS though. Hopefully if it is a bug they fix it.

Have you tried a different text app, such as Handcent? Does it do the same thing with the stock app?

Hangouts does not do it.

I've not tried another app, but I will try Handcent later tonight.

SMS are managed/handled differently in Kitkat. SMS application devs will need to adjust their apps accordingly: Getting Your SMS Apps Ready for KitKat | Android Developers Blog

The same fault happens with handcent app also. It also doesn't always put texts into the privacy box when they have been sent, which can be a pain as my kid deleted last thread from my boss with some instructions in it whoops

I have sent an email to the people at hand cent about this, so I'm sure it will get fixed in that and other platforms soon

Give Textra a try, too. I grabbed it last night when I couldn't get Hangouts SMS to work; it's been updated for Kitkat and works really well.

Woke up this morning to find an email from handcent with a beta apk attached asking for feedback, hopefully this will sort the issues. Will let everyone know

Any news on this yet? I have ordered this phone, but not recieced it yet. I always use GoSMS Pro and would be disappointed if I can't use it on the Nexus 5.

I use NinjaSMS. If you like facebooks chat heads you'll love this because it's the same feature but for sms/mms. They are working on facebook integration to completely replace chat heads. Its nice not having to exit apps to reply to anyone.

No I don't believe so as Go SMS is still showing 5.27 version. I've been looking to see when that changes.

Handset beta I was sent fixed the double entry but still never fixed privacy box issue

Recieved an update this morning to GoSMS Pro saying that this bug is now fixed. As I haven't recieved my Nexus 5 yet can anyone confirm that it is now fixed?
