Go Theme resets icons and widgets???

Hi, I am new to Android. I had installed the Go Launcher theme and added several widgets and app icons all over my home screens. Then I was playing around with other themes, and went back to Go, but now all of that is gone. GONE. What the huh? Is this an Android theme thing or did my particular phone just screw up? If it's the former, what the what. Why would a theme be tied to the app icons and widgets displaying on home screens? Doesn't make any sense to me.

If you could please shed some light on it, I would greatly appreciate it. Stop me from going back to Apple

Yes that looks good, but it doesn't answer my question. I don't understand why my app icons...I guess I should have specified...disappeared when I switched my launcher. I went through the time to add apps and widgets to my home screens and when I switched and came back, they were all gone. That seems like that shouldn't happen. Why would what I add to my home screens be affected by switching a launcher?

Are you saying you use two seperate launchers? Like GO launcher and adw launcher and switch back and forth and wonder why your setup is different?
Maybe its just me but im not understanding the question.

No, I mean, why would any theme/launcher change the apps/widgets I had to add to my home screens? I dont want to switch back and forth, but until I find the one I want, or if I find one later I like better, I don't want to have to re-add those things to my screen. Does that make sense?
